Official music video for my former band The Fashion. At the time of the shoot i was just starting to get into motion work. The whole thing is very crude because i was learning everything while making it.
The video had absolutely no budget. We bought a roll of black fabric and shot ourselves on a broken DV cam in our rehearsal space. We stuck an old steering wheel on a broom stick which we held while sitting on three very sketchy plastic chairs pretending to drive. All the animation stuff was done with random images from Google. Including the car.
I never thouht the video would get any attention, but it got accepted into the 2008 SXSW Film Festival and debuted on MTV's American version of TRL about week into the release. It also passed a million views on my Youtube account before Sony claimed it and took it down.
