Curated by Jesper Elg & Søren RoseArt installation for the designer toy show Vinyl Cph. I was one of the selected 30 artists giving life to a blank vinyl toy from Toy2R. The philosophy behind the project was to see what happens when different creatives from various fields are given free hands to play with individual expression within a fixed framework. The toys were eventually collected in an art show and later put for sale with proceeds donated to The Danish Red Cross.
My toy was placed in a big box with a single flourescent light source.
The only way to see it was to peek through the key hole on the front of the box. The idea was to make the figure look like a little ghost with a key that would supposedly unlock the box and make wishes come true.
At the show opening at Karrierebar in Kødbyen a lot of people passed the box without noticing the magic spirit inside. But as the hours passed the word started spreading though the party.
