Album artwork for acclaimed british metallers Bring me The Horizon's album '
There Is A Hell Beleive Me I've Seen It. There is a Heaven Let´s Keep It A Secret'. The original artwork had two figures portraying a good and an evil side. When the booklet was folded in the CD case the two sides joined in the middle, shaping one person. When folded open it revealed both sides and everything in between. It was an absolute nightmare to fit this for print, and I got sick to my stomach looking at pictures of flesh wounds to stick on the black figure. But it came out great and it really payed off to go for the ambitious idea.
I also did a remake for the albums re-issue under the title
'Unmasked'. The whole idea was to re-release the album with a DVD showing a more personal and candid side to the band. So i came up with a standard booklet version where it looked like layers of paper had been ripped from the artwork revealing the person behind the mask. It also showed some of the objects used in the original cover in detail. Unfortunately the band decided not to do the re-release after all, but i really like the way the art came out so i decided to just stick some of it it here.
On a side note this album has won the award for 'best album' in both Kerrang and Metal Hammer on the year of its release.
